Cleveland Cavaliers win 2016 NBA Finals

In what was a heroic showing by Lebron James and Kyrie Irving, they did the impossible. Come back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. It was a very good, but not great Finals to me. I knew it would go to game 7, but Stephen Curry was held in check for the most part. While Kyrie Irving significantly outplayed him.

My biggest disappointment has to be with Harrison Barnes. This dude is not worth a max contract at all. How can a guy who wants $20 million a year not even average 10 ppg during the post season? It's pitiful. He should have taken the deal the Warriors offered him during the year. No team in their right mind will sign this guy to a max contract unless they are desperate.

Kevin Love. Kevin Love. Kevin Love. What else can you say? This guy stunk it up in the Finals. He's a complete liability on defense. While he is a good rebounder and offensive threat(not in the Finals) he just isn't a good fit for this team. He plays entirely to damn soft. When he was with the Minnesota Timberwolves he was the product of a good player on a terrible team so of course his stats would be inflated. Cleveland has a big choice to make in the offseason with him.

Tristan Thompson was the X factor in this series as I told many people that he would be. His rebounding and rim protection was a solid force in the paint. He gets no play calls for himself and he continues to find a way to contribute. No wonder James lobbied so much for the Cavaliers to max him out. Congrats to the Cleveland Cavaliers your 2016 NBA champions.
